Omaha Wedding - Sannette and Nathan
Wedding at The Living Room, Mastercraft Omaha, Nebraska
September 20, 2019
We’re switching up the blog this time around. We’re hearing about Sannette and Nathan’s love story from Sannette herself. This dreamboat of a couple was referred to us by a mutual friend, we think we owe her one for referring such a fantastic couple to work with and photograph. They are dreamy! The ceremony and reception took place at The Living Room at the Mastercraft, a unique and modern space in Omaha. We ventured around the area and to the rooftop of a parking garage at Creighton University. Congratulations! I loved being a part of your day and getting to know you both! - Machaela
How did you meet? We met online and had our first date at Cupcake! Omaha in the Old Market in April 2016.
How did he propose? Nate and I dated for three years before he proposed in August of 2018. The proposal was a surprise. I am usually good at figuring out what is up to, but I didn’t see it coming. We went to dinner at Monarch and he popped the question halfway through dinner. I stopped him halfway through the proposal out of sheer shock to find out when he made his decision and plan. He took the time to explain the entire process and he finally said, “So, you didn’t answer my question.” I replied, “Yes, of course I will marry you.”
When we met for the first time, at the studio a few months before the wedding, you guys weren't sure if your (Sannette’s) parents could make it? When did you find out they were coming? We found out about three weeks before the wedding that my parents could make it. We had originally planned to have a destination wedding in Jamaica but due to circumstances beyond our control, we decided to do our wedding here in Omaha and have a reception/party next July in Jamaica.
What did you love about the Mastercraft? How did you decide on the venue? We loved the brick walls and rustic industrial look of the Living Room at the Mastercraft. The open lighting was beautiful, the venue complimented our industrial and geometric theme and wedding colors.
