Meet Machaela
Machaela is a photographer and a creative connector with the ability to bring ideas and people together, she helps turn visions into reality. She connects the dots between creative ideas and strategic plans. With a humorous flavor and creativity, she collaborates with an open mind; bringing quality, value, and a high ROI to every project.
Machaela is a true storyteller at heart with a passion for the community and the people in it – the team jokes that she knows everybody. From various boards and commissions to the many organizations she’s worked with, her collaborative spirit, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills offer partners and projects great value.
When she isn’t shooting powerful, results-driven branding photography, Machaela is a relentless advocate for the welfare and safety of children. She and her husband, Nick, are foster parents. Machaela is an Iowa Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), and a board member of Children’s Square USA. In June of 2020, she and Nick adopted Charlie, she also is a bonus mom to Alyssa and Mason.
The Clark family often spends weekends camping, riding bikes, and working in the neighborhood garden, or working on her indoor plant wall. She can never find her keys, but is a legendary pre-COVID party host, because “What’s one more?” guest on the invite list. There is always room at her kitchen table – a sign even hangs in her home that says so – for family, friends, and most importantly a high chair or seat for a child in need of a home.
Machaela is always working to ignite change and challenge the impossible. That relentless passion motivates nearly everything she does, both professionally and personally. A true creative, Machaela’s mind never stops working. She has an acute eye for detail that others usually miss.
