As a photographer it’s difficult when a family member gets married; you can’t be the photographer and a maid of honor at the same time. For Machaela, standing up with her sister, Jessie, was something she couldn’t turn down. So that’s where Jessica stepped in. Between her and a few of their friends, Jessie and Daniel’s precious moments were documented. And they are stunning…

The groomsmen got ready in the Barleys party room, and the bridesmaids at Beauty Operators. Conveniently, the studio space is above Beauty Operators, so after hair and makeup Jessie was able to go upstairs, slip into her dress, and wait for Daniel. They shared their first look in the studio and we captured all of it. For a love that has so many roots in the 100 Block, these pre-wedding happenings couldn’t have been more special.  

At the reception guests were surrounded by soft colors and fresh flowers; details everywhere you looked. And some details in places not everyone could see, like the lockets on Jessie’s bouquets that framed photos of her father. There was so much love at this wedding, and as the night went on the dance floor became alive. Everyone was excited to celebrate with Jessie and Daniel.
