So what exactly is this?
Morrissey Photography has teamed up with Impact CB to highlight the young professionals living and working in the Council Bluffs area. Each month we will interview a young professional over coffee, we will feature their story on the Morrissey Photography blog.
A Big Little City
Villisca ——> Council Bluffs
“I love the small-town feel of Council Bluffs, but it comes with the benefits of a big city.” - Kyle
Council Bluffs has become home to Kyle, a place where he has chosen to live, work, and raise a family. Kyle grew up just 65 miles southwest of Council Bluffs in Villisca, Iowa; the definition of a true small town with a population of around 1,200. As a resident of Council Bluffs, he enjoys having the best of both worlds; he’s in what feels like a small town with the benefits of a big city.
YMCA
It’s more than a gym.
“Find a job you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” - Kyle
I quickly picked up on Kyle’s passion and love for his career. He’s committed. He’s determined to make a difference. His dedication stretches far beyond his role as a Senior Program Director at the YMCA and well into the community of Council Bluffs.
Coaching
A Passion for teaching
“Sports are more than skills and plays, it’s problem-solving, disciple and life lessons.” - Kyle
Growing up, sports were everything to Kyle. Without football, he’s not sure where he would be or if he would have graduated.
What started as a recreational volleyball league one night a week has evolved into one of Kyle’s favorite things to do. He’s passionate about teaching youth more than just the sport of volleyball or winning the game. For Kyle, what really matters is teaching critical life lessons.
IMPACT CB
Member to President
“I’m dedicated to making a difference and will continue to build a strong leadership team within Impact CB.”- Kyle
It only seemed fitting for Kyle to join Impact CB; its mission aligns with Kyle’s values and beliefs, as well as those of the YMCA. He’s excited to build upon what others have started to continue to make Council Bluffs a great place to live and work.
